My Shark Journal

This was a thing I wrote in school an I thought you might like it.
The main problem of sharks population going down is over fishing. What they do is they attach thousands of hooks on a line. After a while they take all the sharks off and cut all the fins off then grow them back in the ocean alive to drown. Over 1,000 sharks are killed each year. So many people are working to save sharks. I don't realty know why people eat shark they have a very high level of mercury. Take for the Mako Shark it has a level of 6. Some people even kill sharks for a sport. They also do commercial fishing and they win giant trophies. Most sharks extinction risks are high. Mackerel sharks like the Salmon shark, the Great White Shark, and the Mako Shark. I have been trying to save sharks. Well I made this blog as you know because your reading it and I learn and read about them all the time. Some people think sharks are dumb, useless, scary creatures, but their not. Without sharks are ocean would be full of fish and their poop. Without sharks are ocean would be crazy. So help fight to keep sharks extinction risk very super extremely low. I mean how would you feel if someone cut off your arms and legs and left you with no way to get food or water or air. Sharks may look scary and mean, but their not. Their just like us. If you were walking and you were on land and all of the sudden this random person runs into to you would attack I mean I know you wouldn't bite, but you would punch and kick right? More people are killed by pigs, horses, vending machines, dogs, bees, deer, and all kinds of crazy things like that. Thousands of sharks are being killed and I'm here to stop that.

Aurora Fossil Museum
Today I went to a great fossil museum in North Carolina. It was a great fossil museum. You get to dig for shark teeth, shells, coral, and all kinds of cool stuff!!
Down the street about thirty seconds is a great brand new ice cream shop called Frozen Shark. In the fossil museum you can see all the teeth from Megaladon Shark. It also has things from Indian times like arrow heads they made and and other things they made. They even have a screening room.

Goblin Shark
Some people claimed that it was extinct for over 100 million years until it was found off the coast of Japan. It is not your typical shark. It is a deep sea shark.

Oceanic White Tip Shark
Tiger Shark
This is the Tiger Shark. This shark is DANGEROUS!!!! It hunts at night and changes colors between green and blue. It lives in Tropical coastal waters. Its endangered. It gets its name by the dark stripes running down the tiger sharks body. The Tiger Shark eats fish, turtles, crabs, and sometimes other sharks.
What People are doing to Sharks.
This is a female Mako Shark being finned.
(The one next to all the people being finned)Look at what terrible things people are doing to sharks. They catch them and take them on the boat cut off the fins and throw them back in the ocean to drown.
I appreciate everything people are doing to help save sharks.
